Remote Supervision Workshop
Remote Supervision is a method of managing the safety of a group during a
journey or activity, while allowing them the opportunity to learn and develop
This workshop has been specifically designed to support organisations and
individuals who use remote supervision to manage groups on activities such as
Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions and Ten Tors.
The workshop provides techniques, clarity and advice to allow leaders to
effectively supervise and support groups (in the context of remote
Subjects covered include:
Planning and preparation.
Personal competence - leaders and participants.
Assessing and managing risk.
Strategies for remote group management
Managing multiple groups.
The workshop includes practical sessions, group discussions, planning and
incident management exercises.
